We believe that support is one of the most importing things when it comes to providing products or services. You could create the best app in the world, but if you run into a problem or need help and the support you received is cumbersome or slow, its going to impact what people think of your product and potentially, especially if its a new customer, cause the customer to churn.

This is something we’ve applied with our own offerings such as Test Track or Docuarmoury however there was one small problem. We would ask users to email [email protected] or go to our support portal at https://support.devsosoftware.com. This had a couple of different problems.

First problem, the support email address and the support portal had no link together, so if the email was used, it wouldn’t be in the portal, but probably more of an issue especially from the users perspective, we are are asking them to go from one domain such as https://test-track.com to https://support.devsosoftware.com which could cause confusion.

We have therefore developed a new project called Solve Flow. Solve Flow is a unified central platform for all of our products and services which provide support ticketing, and in the future, issue tracking and feature requesting, but more importantly, it allows you to use custom domains for that particular product or service.

Not only that, you can provide custom fields per a product so if there is any additional information that needs to be collected from the standard name, email, description of problem, so we can then point customers to support.test-track.com (not yet setup) and get all the information we need from the user when they raise a ticket specifically for that product or service.

Not only that, we can also create a support email that forwards to a inbox relating to your domain so support tickets are automatically raised when emailed and the user is sent back a support reference and can reply to any future notification emails to keep all communications within the support portal.

Currently https://support.devsosoftware.com is running on Solve Flow and we plan on moving other products such as Test Track in the next few days and update our links to the new portal.

Solve Flow is currently in early development and we have lots of plans for it, currently its only for our own use, but when the project is more fleshed out we plan on releasing it for others to use for their own products and services. You can join the waitlist at https://solve-flow.com to receive a notification when we open signups, and you can continue to check out this blog for future development updates.

We’re really looking forward to see how Solve Flow is going to evolve and we hope you are too.
